The location is nice, but management was an absolute clown show. My partner and I booked a few nights hoping for some quiet after an extremely stressful family situation. Instead, after we'd checked out, Dan charged us $300 for alleged damage. There was no evidence and no discussion, and it felt like a cash grab. When I challenged it, he raised his voice and swore. We're regular visitors to Byron, and this was our first and last stay at The Crest. Book at your own risk, or be prepared to budget a few hundred extra for whatever imaginary damage Dan decides to invent to pad his revenue. I've since read the other reviews mentioning Dan's poor attitude. I expect he'll post another dishonest, defensive response like the ones he's left on those reviews. Hopefully this puts even one person off booking, since that would cost Dan more than the $300 he charged me.

It was a peaceful, relaxing stay at The Crest. The pool area was clean and well equipped, and both the beach and town were an easy walk away. The bed and pillows were super comfortable. I'll definitely come back.

I've been coming back for several years, and this recent stay with my daughter was another lovely one. The rooms are spacious and beautiful, the beds are comfy, and the pool is great. With such a fantastic location and a great host, it feels like a home away from home. We'll definitely return.

For about four years now, The Crest is the first place I check whenever I'm heading to Byron, whether I'm travelling alone or with friends. It's always been just right. The beach, town, restaurants and shops are a short walk away, and there's a nice pool to relax beside. Parking feels secure, and the rooms have everything you need, including a washer and dryer. Dan has sorted out little problems quickly every time. The beds are really comfy too. Thanks for having us all these years. Looking forward to staying again.

We really enjoyed our recent stay at The Crest. Dan was so helpful, managing to fit seven of us in at the last minute. The rooms were excellent, and the pool area was lovely. The main beach and restaurants are close by, so the location worked perfectly. Thanks for all your help, Dan. You were a great host and manager, and we'll definitely be back.
