Main Beach Apartments

The customer service and hygiene were bad enough that I wouldn't recommend this place. Before we moved in, there was a dead cockroach in a towel left on the bed. It made me worried about the apartment's cleanliness, so I called reception and asked for the bedsheet to be changed because I didn't know where the cockroach had been. The woman refused, saying we were only staying three days and changing it would mean too much washing. That didn't make sense to me since we paid the full price, and they would have to change the sheets for the next guests anyway. This was the worst hotel experience I’ve ever had.

The apartments could use a lot of care, and I felt the price reflected the location more than the accommodation itself. The views from the upper balconies are so great at sunset, and the location is amazing. But there was no Wi-Fi, which surprised me in 2021, especially since we needed to work remotely. Three stars feels right for this property.

The balcony looks out over the ocean, and restaurants are only a short walk away. The unit is older, but it was clean and comfortable.

It does the job if you need somewhere to sleep, though it hasn't been maintained especially well. With so many people without homes, perhaps it would be more useful as affordable long-term housing.
