A pity that the Girl's Hostel has been closed for two weeks and, I was told, won't reopen as a hostel. It used to be a very popular place for Aussie girls travelling around Australia and visitors from overseas. Good luck to Mario and his lovely wife with their new ventures. I haven't stayed there myself, but I've met lots of people while having breakfast at the cafe on several occasions, back when the cafe owner Mario and his wife looked after the hostel. The girls used to say it was close to the city, clean and friendly.

I'm a regular visitor and find the hostel clean, quiet and safe, close to all the amenities in the CBD. Jenny and Mario are very friendly owners. A small suggestion: wall mirrors in the rooms would be useful. I've been recommending it to visitors from Papua New Guinea and will keep doing so.

The toilet, kitchen and bathrooms were clean, but the sheets and pillowcase still had a lot of hair from the previous night's guests. The hostel hadn't changed them. WiFi was disconnected the whole time, and I had to keep the account password with the owner.

One of the best hostels I've stayed in in Australia. It was very clean and quiet, the staff were friendly and helpful, and it was worth the price.

The website never said we couldn't get in before 7:00 p.m., so now we have nowhere to sleep tonight! Thanks, what a big Easter gift!
