Citysider Cairns

Our host Henrich was so helpful and lovely. There was a welcome board in our room, and when we checked in he gave us great recommendations for the surrounding area. He also offers drop-offs to the harbour and airport at very reasonable prices. The place has pretty much everything, and it’s close to the train station and harbour, as well as a 15-20 minute walk from Cairns Central Shopping centre. For an affordable, comfortable stay in Cairns, I’d highly recommend it.

We got around Cairns easily without a hire car. Cairns Central was about a 12-15 minute walk away, and the boardwalk took roughly 25 minutes. From the balcony, we could wave at the Kuranda rail as it went by and watch bats glide past at dusk. The location worked really well for us. Our two-room apartment had plenty of space for two, with a double and a twin bed, and everything we needed. We slept well, and it was handy being able to get beach or snorkelling towels. We also appreciated the 10% Aquarium vouchers and the tour discounts Heinrich offers. He can arrange transfers too, so ask and compare the price with Uber or a taxi. We arrived at about 10 am and were allowed to check in straight away, which we really appreciated. Heinrich and his wife were warm and helpful. Happy birthday and happy anniversary to you both. The manager was lovely, always ready to help, and had great recommendations. We stayed four nights with a couple of friends and were really pleased with the rooms and facilities. The pool was a great temperature, and there are BBQs available if you want to use them. It's a convenient 10-15 minute walk to the city centre, or about a $10 Uber ride. I'd happily stay here again when I'm in Cairns.

The office manager was welcoming and super helpful, and our room was immaculate. It's a budget motel that's past its prime, but it still works well.
