The receptionist was polite and helpful, but that was the only positive in an otherwise terrible stay at this Cairns motel. My room hadn’t been cleaned, it constantly smelled damp and mouldy, and no cleaning supplies were provided. The hygiene was unacceptable, and I developed a foot fungus infection during the stay, which I believe was because of the filthy carpet and bathroom floor. The chairs were so uncomfortable I bought one of my own just to sit properly. Service was practically nonexistent, a zero for me. I absolutely wouldn’t recommend this place. Save yourself the trouble and book somewhere else.

The room was perfect, clean and new, and it seems to have been remodelled recently. I also found the bed exceptionally comfortable, soft like my bed at home, unlike the rock-hard beds I usually get in motels. There’s a parking space outside each front door, mostly out of sight from the road, and the air conditioner was very welcome in the summer heat. It’s in a convenient spot, next to both the Edge Hill Tavern and a McDonalds. Service was a bit slow tonight, and it seemed they were understaffed. I’ll definitely stay again next time I’m in Cairns.

I needed a place just for the night before my flight the next day. The room was clean and very comfortable, service was good, and there were plenty of nearby options for dinner and brekky. Also close to the airport.

The staff were lovely, but the place is very dated. I didn’t eat there, and the area out the front is an absolute disaster. To be fair, it’s in a village with a lot of vehicle traffic, so that seems like a good chance to revamp and attract more of the passing trade.
