The pools were nice, though kids were playing in the lap pool even though it isn’t meant for that. The rooms felt dated, and the staff were nice without making the stay feel especially special. As an Accor Silver member I wasn’t given late checkout, and nobody offered the welcome drink. When I asked, the drink was pineapple juice. I enjoyed our stay, but honestly I’m not sure I’d return, as I don’t think the price is worth it.

We’ve stayed here three times now with our two kids, and this summer school holiday visit didn’t disappoint. The pools, landscaping and pool bar options were great. For a week focused on swimming and the beach, it worked well for our family, even in rainy season. We’ve used Airbnb here before, but booking the hotel this time felt more like a holiday, with daily service, breakfast and drinks on arrival. Suggest joining Accor+ for the extra discounts.

Palm Cove is walkable from here, though the hotel is a little out of the way, and the beach is easy to get to. The staff were welcoming, helpful and lovely, and our room was absolutely spotless. The decor is a bit dated, but it was a very comfortable stay for our family of four. Highly recommend!

The building was beautiful and looked like the pictures, and the front desk staff were friendly and wonderful. The breakfast buffet was disappointing for a five-star place: the menu was the same every day, with no seasonal fruit. Around the pool, dirty glasses were left all day, so we had to clear them before using a lounge. Pool food was poor and there wasn’t much choice. For a five-star hotel, I expected experienced staff rather than international students filling in.
