Warrawong Lodge

I wasn't happy there, so I'd give it 2/5. The yard was quite messy when I visited, and something in the pool made my eyes hurt. Wifi was poor, and the food was only edible if you were hungry. There are some nice restaurants down the road, though, so I can't really complain, especially if you're picky. It definitely wasn't what I expected after seeing and watching reviews of the place. There are a lot of other good places to stay that are more budget friendly.

My stay was decent, but nowhere near as good as I'd been told. The room was quite messy, like the cleaner had rushed through it, and I used my own sanitizer in the toilet and shower because it didn't feel clean. The view is good, but there are lots of mosquitoes. It comes across as a struggling business. The owner seems desperate to make the best of things without investing, and sugar coats everything. There's a 50% discount on stays now because there's apparently much more going on than what's advertised. I also saw some pretty bad reviews on TripAdvisor and the hotel admin desperately trying to blame hackers, lol.

The bedroom and bathroom were large and very comfortable, with gorgeous views and a beautiful pool. Breakfast had everything you could want. There are a lot of cameras watching you, though, which can feel quite uncomfortable.

I was turned away when I arrived, even though I'd already called and confirmed that rooms were available. I hadn't booked online or by phone because I was only two hours away. There may have been a different person at the desk, but my name wasn't on any list, so they wouldn't check me in. Pretty bad, honestly. Be careful.
