The Terrace at Caloundra

We parked in the garage and walked everywhere, thanks to the grouse location. The apartment was beautiful and easily big enough for the four of us, with a partial ocean view. The kids loved the heated pool, and we had everything we needed. We decided on this place at the last minute for a little getaway, and it didn't disappoint. We'll definitely be back.

Joanne Apartment 101 is reasonably well maintained, with lovely views from three different balconies and two pools to choose from. It's very reasonably priced and centrally located, so we could walk to the shops, beach, boardwalk, restaurants, cafes, pub and cinema. Pastry Lab, the French patisserie, is right across the road and awesome. Highly recommended.

The apartments are beautiful, clean and have incredible views. The hosts were lovely and accommodating, and the location was fantastic. From the building on Cooma St, where I stayed on the second highest level, it was about a five-minute walk to beach access and cafes. There are quite a lot of stairs, though. Neither was a problem for me, and the view made up for it, but people with mobility issues may want to keep that in mind. Update: The owners' facetious response was really disappointing and soured the experience. I enjoyed my stay and the location, but because they couldn't take the feedback graciously, I've dropped my rating to 3 stars and don't recommend the place. As I said, the walk was fine for me. I was just giving other people something to consider when booking, which is what reviews are for, surely?

The location was fantastic, but after a week in one of your "apartments," we left very disappointed and won't return. We followed checkout instructions, tidied thoroughly, vacuumed and neatly piled the used bath towels in the laundry area. After checkout, the manager called to complain about "little blue stars all through the apartment" and say the AC remote couldn't be found. Her manner was unbelievably rude, snapping, "I didn't need this today," as if we were the problem. She also said her team had taken over an hour and a half to clean. I replied that I'd expect a proper clean and fresh bedding after a family had stayed for a week. The apartment had bubbling, peeling ceiling paint and mould in the shower and on its ceiling. The manager's attitude showed no customer service training. The room was spotless when we left, and if they can't manage a basic turnover without tantrums, they're not fit for guests. We're warning people to steer clear unless they want harassing calls after a holiday. I know I can't comment after this review, but the truth is the truth. I'm very disappointed we brought our family here and will never do it again. Go ahead with a reply that tries to make us sound like the bad guys, like with every other bad review you've received. That only proves my point. Thanks for a disappointing stay.
