It was quiet and well located, about an eight-minute walk from the Civic Centre. The room was clean and just big enough for three of us, with comfortable beds, a small bathroom and a good shower. The aircon worked well. We paid $152, which seemed like good value. We arrived with a lot of heavy suitcases, but the mini lift wasn't working and the person at reception couldn't help, so we had to carry them upstairs. There was no car park, though Wilson car park nearby was cheap at $8.

The location is very central, the pricing was competitive, and the rooms were clean with great beds. There was only one person on check-in and nobody on check-out, but it all worked out fine. I did miss having food or drinks available on site. There's a cafe next door, but it doesn't offer an Accor discount. The bottle of wine for Accor members was appreciated, and the off-site parking worked okay, though it was a 10-minute walk.

The express breakfast was handy for the morning rush, with the option to take it away or eat in. The hotel is also away from the construction, which was a bonus. Location-wise, it's excellent, within walking distance of plenty of places to eat and Canberra shopping centers. Public transport is easy too: R2 stops right out front and goes to Parliament House and other venues, while R3 is a minute away and takes you straight to the airport. As a Plat member, I got an upgrade to the highest floor with a King bed. Sebel Civic exceeded my expectations, and I'm really glad I chose it. Pri checked us in and out and was wonderful, making us feel welcome. Thanks!

We stayed two nights with our dog and had no real complaints. We had to ask for a water bowl, but it was brought quickly. They seemed short on some things they might normally leave in the room, like a dog bed. Lots of guests had dogs, some with two, but we had brought our own bed anyway. The dog was allowed in the bar area of the adjacent restaurant, and things felt pretty relaxed. Behind the hotel, the public space at the rear entrance is council land with a small partly grassed area. It looked seriously neglected, with rubbish, an abandoned beer keg and milk crates. There's better grass around the corner on Bunda ? st, about a minute away, and a large city park a short walk away. There is no hotel parking. You can drop bags off from the laneway and might find a one or two hour spot in the small council carpark, where two hours costs $6. It has four EV charging spaces, motorcycle parking and a few disabled access spaces. Weekdays after 5:30 pm it's free. I forgot to check weekend restrictions, but it looked like most daytime parking was paid, so check the signs. We came and went a few times and always found a spot in the lane, even though it was busy. The hotel also has a $25 deal for a carpark across the road. It was a good stay, with the feel of a 2023 apartment hotel rather than a four-star full-service hotel. If we weren't travelling with the dog, I'd probably look for somewhere more luxurious, with a pool, on-site parking, a proper hotel bar and restaurant, and no refillable pump bottles in the shower.

The hotel is conveniently close to everything, and we really enjoyed the stay. I was unsure about booking because it welcomes dogs, but the room smelled like a regular hotel room, not a pet room. They'd also provided a comfortable-looking dog bed. The only small issue was that the space under the single bed hadn't been vacuumed, and my dog tried to get at some debris there. There isn't on-site parking. Westfield parking nearby is validated by the hotel at $13 per day, but doesn't allow multiple entries. Constitution Place across from the hotel costs $25 per day and allows multiple entries. Reception validates it, it uses number-plate recognition, and you pay at checkout. The duty manager, Priyaam, was helpful and friendly. We'd gladly return and recommend the hotel.
