The location worked really well for us: Airlie is about a 20-30 minute walk away, or a three-minute drive, and there are two bus stops right outside. Cole’s is only five minutes on foot. The place was spotless and modern, with cute rooms that had what we needed and a shower with fantastic pressure. We loved the bar and pool area too. Everyone was lovely, especially Jade on reception, who sorted out a problem with my bag. We had a great stay and will be back.

We had a lovely five-night visit, and the breakfast buffet was better than some of the breakfast places in Airlie. The staff were welcoming, the pool was lovely, and buses are easy to catch nearby, with a button available to call a taxi. When the room next door got noisy at 4am one night, reception dealt with it straight away. Our only real gripe was the shower: water leaked from the bottom and spread across the bathroom, though there is a drain there and we just dried the floor with a towel. A threshold strip would help. It’s a three-star hotel, so keep that in mind when reading some reviews. We loved it here.

We had a brilliant family stay, spread across three rooms, and the price per room made it feel like an 11/10 deal. The rooms were clean, quiet and excellent. Cocktails were fresh and fairly priced, especially during happy hour, and the breakfast buffet was far better than we expected. Service was above and beyond. Two of our rooms had air conditioners that were a little temperamental, but a routine service should sort that out. We’ll definitely stay again soon.

The rooms we had were lovely and recently updated, and room service was quick and easy to order. One thing to know: the shower design let water escape and spread across the bathroom. It wasn’t a major problem, but it happened. They seemed to be doing some renovations during our stay, which didn’t affect us much. Some parts of the property still look a little tired and could use some care. I didn’t think breakfast was worth the price, though it was pretty standard buffet fare.

The staff were so friendly and accommodating, and the lunch we had here, two salads, was beautiful. Our room was perfect, and the place felt romantic, quiet and easy to relax in. It’s a short walk into town, with the bus stop about five minutes away. They even left a chocolate bunny on our bed for Easter. We’d just got engaged, and SAKURA was especially attentive and caring, making our stay feel that much more special. Thank you, SAKURA, and please pass along our thanks, Mantra.
