The Howey

We were impressed by the hotel for the price, and it was spotless and tidy throughout. The lobby cafe was high quality, the staff were lovely, and the place was quiet. Over three nights, we only shared the lift twice. City hotels can feel dated, but this one even provided robes and little slippers. The Howey is in a great spot. Our room was spacious and comfortable, with everything we needed, including good hanging space. Casting to the TV was easy too. We'd absolutely stay again and recommend it.

The beds were really comfortable, the location was great, and TAT cafe in the hotel was fabulous. One funny thing, we thought the privacy glass toilet door showed rather a lot until our last morning, when we realised the bathroom walls slide along tracks to close the whole area off! Highly recommend the hotel.

We had a spacious, modern, clean room with soundproofing, free Wi-Fi and in-room entertainment. The beds were so comfortable and luxurious that I didn't want to leave. Reception security kept our bags for the day while we explored the city, and the customer service was terrific. I liked having a little QR code scanner for information too. The hotel is a lovely little gem in a small alley, close to everything in the CBD. It was mid-range priced compared with other hotels nearby, so great value. Royal arcade is a one-minute walk away, and Brunettis is about five minutes downhill. It looks like a restaurant may be opening on site soon.

Our room was huge and looked modern, and the main bed was comfortable. The rollout bed was thin, though, and my elderly companion found it difficult to get up from. There were two TVs, which felt a bit odd, and Netflix didn't work, even though YouTube did. The amenities felt basic and a little bare. Staff were friendly and helpful the whole time, and I appreciated the complimentary parking at a nearby location. The spot is very convenient, within walking distance of lots of attractions and restaurants.
