I could spend hours taking in the art and decorative collections, or enjoying the whimsical garden. The decor is breathtaking, and the beautiful area around Canowindra has its own history that Tommy shares with guests. He was gracious and seemed to anticipate what we needed. The B&B has a wonderful atmosphere and warm hospitality, and breakfast was the most delicious I've had in years, fresh and full of organic flavour. Montrose House is a real gem and a lovely place to enjoy the countryside and the pleasures of hospitality. It's a must-stay.

My husband and I had Christmas lunch here, and it felt absolutely magical. The food, music, decorations and atmosphere were all just right. Compliments to the chef, highly recommend!

Each room at Montrose House has its own theme, with artworks and decorative pieces everywhere. Tommy was such a generous, welcoming host. He greeted us with coffee in the sitting room and even lent my wife his luxurious sheepskin coat when the weather suddenly turned cold. We had breakfast twice in the opulent dining room, both times enjoying his wonderful Eggs Benedict, and also had a lovely roast dinner there on Sunday evening. Staying here was a wonderful experience.

The building is absolutely stunning, with an opulent room and a huge bathroom. Little touches made it feel special, like hot tea and bickies when we arrived and bottles of drinking water in the room. Breakfast was delicious, served at an amazing table, and the music set the tone for the day. Tommy, the owner, is fascinating and a wonderful host, welcoming without being intrusive. It was a restful, feel-good stay in Canowindra, the kind of experience I hadn't had in years and won't forget. Thanks, Tommy, and congratulations on your business!
