The meals were excellent at both breakfast and dinner, and the staff made the stay feel special. Michelle at reception and Kylie, our evening meal waitress, deserve a particular mention. We loved being in the beautiful Mudgee area, and this was the best motel we've stayed at. We'd highly recommend it. Murray and Helen Browne

The room was comfortable and clean, and the location was good for a visit to Mudgee. Staff were great, and the early breakfast buffet was convenient. A fantastic motel, highly recommended.

We celebrated Xmas in July at the Winning Post. The buffet breakfast was excellent, with a well-prepared range of hot and cold choices. Staff were professional, kind and welcoming. Our room had comfortable beds with nice linen, a handy tea and coffee hub, and plenty of space and storage, all laid out well and kept clean. We'd recommend this motor inn for a cozy, comfortable stay.

The location was great, just a short walk from everything. Room 11 had lots of space, with a separate bedroom and a dining and living area containing a sofa bed, table, kitchenette, king-size bed and desk. The furniture was quite dated, though the generous space helped make up for it. The walls were so thin I could hear the person next door using the toilet. Despite the microwave and sink, there was no cutlery, plates or water glasses. The towel I used on the first night had blood on it, which I only noticed when drying off. Our room also wasn't made up the first day, so I had to look around for clean towels and extra toilet paper.
