We booked at the last minute late at night. The host welcomed us and said we could settle up in the morning. Our room was super clean and tidy, with a big bathroom, nice towels, and a comfortable king-size bed that felt homely. We had a little table for two outside on the balcony. It’s only a short walk to Canungra's main street.

It's in the middle of nowhere, and it's not a highly rated place. The fan was wobbling like it was about to come out of the ceiling. I felt completely ripped off because I was desperate for somewhere to stay and everything else was booked. Parking isn't guaranteed either.

Tony & Kelly were lovely. They made an effort to help with our dietary needs at breakfast and suggested things to do. The hosts were very friendly and helpful, the setting was tranquil, and the rooms were clean. The value was very good too. We would have liked more privacy, since every room faces the shared balcony, and the room felt small. The location was okay, but we wanted to be closer to restaurants and attractions, which turned out to be a bit of a drive away.

Suzanne and Anita make you feel at home straight away with their warm hospitality. The rooms are beautifully appointed, with fresh, luxe linens. There's nothing odd about the Odd Gecko. I'll definitely come back as soon as I can for more quiet downtime.
