Friday pizza night was a standout, easily one of our top five meals, and the place is clearly popular. Dinner also led us to meet a lovely couple who encouraged us to make the move to the area. Our room was roomy and spotless, with an indoor fireplace that made it cosy and added a nice atmosphere. And Kush was a delight to chat with about the Southern Highlands, the food, and pretty much everything else. Her enthusiasm really shines through.

The forest walk had a great mix of things to see and some beautiful views. There was so much to enjoy on the property, and the room suited us perfectly. The food was wonderful, and so was the coffee. My partner and I spent the weekend at Canyonleigh Retreat, where Kush and the whole team made us feel so welcome. We couldn’t have asked for a better place or people to spend our getaway with.

The rooms were modern and clean, the pool was just right for young kids, and the food was fantastic. We only stayed one night at this lovely retreat while heading to Canberra, and wished we had longer. It’s secluded, beautifully kept, and great value. Kush, the owner and property manager, even showed my girls around the farm. They had loads of questions, got to pick strawberries and blueberries, and loved every minute. Such a hidden gem, we’d love to come back soon.

We had a really enjoyable stay with family at this charming, family-run hotel. The staff were friendly and consistently helpful, with personal, attentive service. It’s a lovely spot for getting out into nature, with a lush forest nearby for hiking and horseback riding, and a well-kept outdoor pool back at the hotel. Saturday evenings bring an astronomer who explains the constellations and other things in the sky. The nights are beautifully dark, so stargazing is a treat. There’s also outdoor seating by a cosy bonfire, plus a restaurant serving freshly made wood-fired pizzas and food prepared with locally sourced ingredients. Much of the produce is carefully prepared and often comes from the backyard farm, so it’s fresh and good quality. The coffee is expertly brewed and satisfying, and firewood is provided to keep the rooms warm. It was a memorable stay.

The owners and their family made us feel like part of their own, and nothing was too much trouble when we needed anything. Our room was large, spotless, and had all the basics. The 500 acres were special, as were the home-grown vegetables and salads, jams, and other things. The menu was limited, but the food was very nice. We had a very pleasant couple of days. A big thank you to Naz and your family. Glen and Kerry
