Frankston Holiday Park

A great spot in a perfect location, with a comfy bed and excellent shower. Reception staff were lovely, and it’s pet friendly too, which was a bonus.

We paid $589 for four nights and arrived to a tired, dusty room that looked nothing like the heavily glossed-up online photos. The pool was listed as an amenity, but there wasn’t a drop of water in it. I understand maintenance can happen, but no compensation was offered and our request was flatly refused. We tried to give calm, respectful feedback to the receptionist, but they ignored us. I was repeatedly dismissed for simply saying, “heads up, us customers see no maintenance updates”. When we said we weren’t happy, we were told to check out.

The location was perfect, and the corner we were on seemed like it might be busy, but it was surprisingly quiet. The kitchenette work area was nice and roomy, and everything was clean. We didn’t need service, though the staff I saw were very nice. My husband slept well, but the bed was too firm for me. Water pressure was about what we expected, not great but enough to do the job. I’d give it 4 1/2, with the bed being my only real complaint.

We stayed in the deluxe 2 bed villa. The room was comfortable and quiet, and the staff were lovely and made us feel welcome. The kids were keen to try the pool, but the weather was crazy windy and wet. We’d definitely stay again.
