Carseldine Palms Motel

We had a delicious dinner at the Thai restaurant on site, a nice surprise. The location is really convenient, and I’ll stay here again next time I’m in Brisbane. We were grateful the Comfort Inn could fit our family in at short notice for the night. The staff were warm and genuinely friendly, and the property was clean, well kept, and presentable. Parking the car and trailer was easy, which was a big help. Our room was spacious and spotless, the beds were incredibly comfortable, and I liked having a handy selection of small goods to buy. Highly recommend!

The rooms are usually nice and clean, and the staff friendly, until there's a problem. A cleaning trolley's brakes weren't set, or as the cleaner said, didn't work, and the large metal trolley rolled down the hill into my car. It damaged the car, which I'd only had for eight months. I got two repair quotes, but they say it's too expensive and want me to use their mates. I just want my car returned to how it was. When I left the property, all the cleaning trolleys were propped in the garden beds to stop them rolling.

After a tiring day on the road, this was a great place to come across. The room was spotless and much larger than I expected. We got in around 7 p.m., and the staff were helpful and unusually cheerful, in my experience. The Thai restaurant on site made it easy to grab dinner before a peaceful night's sleep. Thanks.

The room was roomy, but it felt dated and musty, and didn't quite look like the photos online. Carpet stains were visible, and there was dust behind the bathroom door, so it didn't feel as clean as it should. For a King Room, we only got one spare pillow. Location and access were fine, and the after-hours check-in directions were clear and simple. We checked in late and left early, so barely spoke with staff and can't say much about the service.
