Dolphin Sands Holiday Villas

After driving all day, it was a relief to receive clear emailed instructions for getting onto the property and finding our key, since we arrived after hours. We stayed in Cabin 1, which was quiet enough for us to sleep really well. The cabin was clean, comfortable and much bigger than we expected. The location worked perfectly, with no detour on our way to QLD. Each cabin has its own parking spot right beside it, and ours had enough room for our Landcruiser. We'll recommend the property and stay again.

Just a stone's throw from the beachfront, and a really nice place to stay for a night. The staff were super friendly, everything was very clean, and the shower was large. There was a spacious kitchen and living area, plus a new electric stovetop, though no oven.

I no longer want to stay here and will be requesting a full cancellation instead of moving the booking to another date. My sporting event was cancelled because of rain, so I needed to change my booking for this week. I've tried calling all day, but the phone just rings out and I can't leave a message. I've sent several emails and am extremely disappointed with the service. If I don't get some kind of response, I'll contact Coffs Council and Fair Trading. Terrible service.

The worst issue was the bed bug infestation, and the people I reached by phone showed a total lack of care. I absolutely wouldn't recommend this place. My cabin had been double booked, leaving us in a mess late in the evening while we tried to get either party moved into another cabin. Reception was never staffed, and nobody answered the direct line or the after-hours calls. I ended up in two cabins, and both smelled musty. The carpet was damp, the vertical blinds were mouldy and broken, the fly screen was off the window, and the utensils were dirty. The ceiling fans were caked in dust, and there was visible mould in the air conditioner.
