Ocean Park Motel

The 1 bedroom apartment had everything we needed for a long weekend. Excellent location, and Susan, the Manager, was so helpful and lovely to deal with. We’ll definitely stay again.

We had an easy check-in using the lock box at the unit door. The car park is set away from the beachfront road, so the complex felt private, though the windows looked onto public spaces. The parking gate was open to anyone, so it didn’t provide security, and getting in and out of the car to open and close it was a hassle. We assume it was meant to keep management’s dog in. The wet spoodle jumped up on us, then rolled around on our carpet while the door was open. The room was older style, but lovely, clean and quiet, with good air con. The decor was fine apart from the black leather lounge, and more power points would’ve been handy. They provided plenty of tea, coffee and milk, which was appreciated. The shower was dismal, with little water and constantly changing temperature, but the bed and pillows were comfy. It’s a lovely little complex in a handy spot near the beach, and was very well priced compared with similar units. For one night it was great. If I stayed longer, I’d choose somewhere with an outlook or private balcony so I could enjoy the room more.

We meant to book for one night, but ended up staying two and wished we’d booked the whole week we were in Coffs. Both rooms were immaculate, spacious, comfortable and had everything we needed. Having laundry services on site made travel with our large group easier. Susan greeted us so warmly and made the whole family feel welcome. Young Elliot, the little puppy, was icing on the cake. The location is perfect, across from Ocean Park and the beach, and close to the bowls club, local pub, cafe, petrol station, parks, BBQ areas and shopping centre. Thank you, Susan, for going above and beyond for us. If we travel to Coffs again, we’ll book with you. Wishing you and Elliot all the best, and hope we can visit again soon.

Loved this place. It’s quiet, private and leafy, with older but clean rooms and a clean swimming pool. If you’re not into dark, gloomy brick motels, this one could be for you. It’s conveniently across from the Hoey Moey for drinks and music, and Park Beach bowling club for food.
