The garden setting and pools outside were soothing, and the rooms were wonderful, well equipped, and had everything we needed. The bed was comfortable, and the bathroom was a delight. We were a little nervous after reading one very negative comment, but that soon passed. We’re new to independent check-in, and the instructions were clear and easy to follow. The allocated underground parking was a welcome surprise, and the lift made getting our luggage up simple. About the train: the line is there, though you can’t see it. I heard one train at 3:30 a.m. while I was already awake. It was so quiet that it took me a while to realize what I’d heard. I used the time to write this review. We highly recommend it, and give it 4+ stars.

The beds were clean with white sheets, and reception was friendly. Check-in was easy. But the photos didn’t match the room we got. It was old, needed a revamp, and had a musty smell. The bathroom light didn’t work, leaving it dark. If you’re a light sleeper, the nearby train crossing can be rough at night, with bells and horns waking us repeatedly.

We didn’t hear a single train during our two-night stay. The doors are heavy and soundproof, so I’m not sure why people complain about the trains. The rooms were tidy, clean, spacious, and well equipped. We had a really easy, quick holiday with the kids.

I’m here now, travelling solo, and the place has turned out fine despite the Google reviews that had made me skeptical after I’d already booked. For arrival, maps may bring you to the wrong parking: there’s a 10-minute visitor spot in front of reception. At the roundabout, turn right and use that space, not the lower car park. The lower car park is fully secured and needs a key to enter. I was nervous about being given a ground-floor room, but felt okay, and there’s also front-door access for ground-floor guests. The room has enough ventilation, a spacious balcony, a working shower, and good internet. I use Optus, and they also provide Wi-Fi for work. The kitchen is fully equipped, so you can bake or make rice, though the knives could use sharpening. It’s a nice option if you like cooking and staying in. The homeless woman some people mentioned was actually nice when I spoke with her by the road. The train isn’t much of a bother if you’re travelling down from the cities, but close the windows and use earplugs if you’re a light sleeper. Trains only go by three or four times a day. As a solo woman, I’d have liked more privacy from the living-room blinds. I’d recommend the place, and it’s always good to communicate your needs when booking.
