Colac Colac Caravan Park

A lovely place to unwind beside the Nariel Creek, with plenty of birdlife and a peaceful bush setting. Our site was spacious and easy to get into with the van, and the camp kitchen and amenities were modern, clean, and well maintained. Reenie was fantastic, really friendly and helpful from the start. We’d happily stay again and use it as a base to explore the area.

We had a wonderful time and are already thinking about coming back next year. The creek was lovely for a dip, and the kids enjoyed skimming rocks. Our grassy site had a fire, and the amenities were clean. Reenie was amazing, always happy to help, and the other staff were very friendly too.

We were disappointed to find the closest toilet and shower block closed for two days. The park itself is gorgeous, but it was the noisiest place I’ve stayed. Even though it was relatively empty, our site was near the main road, with lorries and trucks flying past 24/7. There was also constant lawn mowing, leaf blowing, and other loud garden machinery throughout the day. The engine noise overwhelmed what should have been a serene setting.

After more than 24 years of visiting Colac colac ( clack clack ) caravan Park corryong, as have many people from the albury/wodong area and surrounds, this was our first stay since the new owners took over. We were told about the new policies, and the experience left a lot of people saying they’d look elsewhere because the service has failed them. You have to pay in full for your next camp as you leave. Group bookings aren’t guaranteed the same sites they’ve had for years, and on a four day long weekend there’s a minimum night stay. They also claimed people were waiting for cabins, but those cabins were never filled. Staff were nowhere to be seen or contacted, the canteen stayed closed all weekend, and there were no games for the kids, which is one of the reasons families come here. I understand companies have their own way of doing things, but it’s always good to listen to customers. They’re the reason you’re in business. It sounds like they’re living up to the name Camp Krusty, yes, the Simpson's. Good luck to the new owners.
