The kitchen was a pleasure to cook in, with a gorgeous view of the Hazards, and I slept better here than anywhere else. Gumnut Cottage in Coles Bay is full of character, beautifully appointed and so comfortable. The beds are wonderfully cosy, with high-quality linens. Great value, and I’d highly recommend it.

There’s a backyard gas BBQ and even a charger for electric cars. We had a lovely three-night stay in this cottage, which was easy to find and had everything we needed in the kitchen, from plates and pots to all the essentials. With two bedrooms and a living room with a beautiful couch, it would suit a family or larger group. Ice cream, pizza, fish and chips, and groceries are all within walking distance.

The views of Freycinet are great, and it’s a short walk into town. We love staying at Gumnut Cottage. The living area is spacious, the beds are comfy, and the big kitchen has loads of appliances. There’s also a cosy fireplace with plenty of wood, a must in Tassie for nine months of the year.

The cottage was lovely, clean and comfortable, with everything we needed. The laundry step is a real hazard for elderly people. We couldn’t use the barbecue because it was too dirty.
