Cave Place Units

Clean and tidy, right in town and within walking distance of everything. It's a nice little semi dugout, priced for what it is. Some of the surfaces could use sealing again, but you get what you pay for. If you're budget travelling, it's an awesome place. If you're after top of the range, this isn't for you.

It was scorching outside at 41 degrees, but the underground level stayed cool and quiet. The lounge and two bedrooms are downstairs, with overhead fans in both bedrooms. Each has a double or queen bed, and one also has an extra single. Upstairs are the kitchen and dining area, bathroom, and laundry, with air conditioning in the kitchen, which was very much needed. The layout worked well, and there was plenty of hot water in the shower, which matters to me. We stopped for one night on the drive from Alice Springs to Adelaide. There'd been a mix-up with the two units, and the earlier arrivals took the above ground one we'd booked, so we ended up in the underground unit. That turned out to be a cool experience, literally and figuratively. The place is a bit dated, but very clean and comfortable, and two bedrooms for that price was very reasonable. Great location. Highly recommended, and we'd definitely stay again.

It was cheap, and you get what you pay for. The bed came apart while I was sleeping, the shower head was mounted badly and sprayed everywhere, and the kitchen tap needs replacing. The dug out part of the unit is peeling and falling apart. It left the floors, bedding, and surfaces dirty and gritty.

A cozy little place, but I expected a bit more for the money. There was no dryer despite the advert, the Wi-Fi password didn't work, and the worn beds had springs I could feel through the mattresses.
