The beachside location was great, and the room was clean with comfortable beds. But the air con didn't work. Management said they were waiting for the owner's confirmation to fix it, and after our four-night stay we still hadn't heard anything. They offered no alternative and seemed not to care. Other things were frustrating too. You had to press the spa button every minute to keep it running, which I timed. The pool lights didn't work at night, and on our last day the pool gate was broken, so we had to walk around via the beach to get in. Supplies in the unit were stingy: just one and a half toilet rolls, two coffee sachets and a couple of bin liners. We were told we'd have to pay for more. Great location and cheap accommodation, so you get what you pay for.

We've stayed here twice now, and it may become our new holiday spot. The beach is right there, and waking to its sound and a beautiful sunrise was lovely. Five stars and a huge thumbs up.

For the price, it's quite good, and it was clean and tidy when I visited friends who were staying there. They were very happy. The managers were lovely, and the location right on the beach is amazing. Australia Fair is very close, with a 7/eleven across the street.

The warm welcome and wonderful service from managers Terry and Jill are what I remember most. My son and I enjoyed every minute at Hibiscus on the Beach. We made a last-minute call to get away for the Australia Day long weekend, and Hibiscus on the Beach was a lovely place to spend it. Thanks, Danielle and Jon, for the warm hospitality. Waking up to the ocean view was bliss. The self-contained unit was right on the beach and the air conditioning was cold. Facilities were great, with a fab swimming pool and spa among tropical gardens, plus a perfect little hideaway in the Bali Hut with direct access. We'll definitely be back.
