The staff were friendly and helpful, and we loved the pools and spa. Our family of seven had a fantastic week at The Star Gold Coast, with three spacious rooms that suited us well for the whole stay. Every meal we had was great, including room service, and the buffet breakfast and dinner were fantastic. The location right by Pacific Fair was great too. Loved it!

We celebrated our anniversary with a suite and were so glad we did. Our corner room came with magnificent views, and we could enjoy drinks and canapés in the executive lounge each evening. They were superb. Breakfast was included and had everything we could wish for, and all the staff were friendly and helpful. We’ll be back!

My husband surprised me with a short holiday from Thursday to Saturday for our fifth wedding anniversary. I wish I could say it was all wonderful, but it wasn’t. The staff were friendly, and they’re probably the reason this gets two stars. Getting to the venue was a hassle, with no useful signs to guide first-time visitors during a 40-degree day, even though the main entrance was being upgraded. The accommodation was okay and the bed was comfortable, but the rest felt very average. I still can’t believe guests have to pay for water. Water damage at the establishment was bad enough that half the casino gaming machines were down for at least an hour, despite the billions it makes. The pokies had about as much variety as my local country-town club. My cards from your Sydney establishment didn’t earn players any points or discounts at the Gold Coast venue, even though it says all venues are linked. I also didn’t see any food offered to people playing and drinking, not even nuts, which I’ve had at every pub or club I’ve been to. I wouldn’t recommend it and probably won’t return. In my opinion, Broadbeach had more variety and paid more.

I came for the poker and had a great time. Signing up was easy and basically required, and the experienced dealers kept the 2/5 game moving. The rake is a bit high, but that’s okay. Looks like some really fun poker is coming in Feb. The rest of the casino looked pretty decent too. Can’t wait to come back and see it on the weekend :D

We had a comfortable, enjoyable three-night stay at The Star Grand at the Star Gold Coast and would definitely come back. The location was excellent, right in front of Pacific Fair shopping centre and close to most of the restaurants we wanted. There was plenty of good food to choose from, and the staff were welcoming, friendly and always happy to help.
