Centrepoint Resort

We booked at the last minute, and the location was amazing, close to literally everything we wanted and needed. Construction made it quite noisy, especially in the mornings. The place felt a bit outdated, and I was disappointed that our room only had a fan. The fan in another room didn't work, and neither did its light. If I'd had more time to plan, I wouldn't have booked a room at this hotel, but it worked for a last minute stay.

The place was fantastic, modern, spacious and clean, with a well equipped kitchen, washing machine and dryer. 5/5. The only negative was the receptionist, "Penny", who was extremely rude and no help at all.

We paid over $500 a night for a two bedroom apartment over New Year and stayed two nights. Neither bedroom had air conditioning, and the useless fans made it impossible to sleep. I ended up on the lounge both nights. In that heat, it's unreasonable to expect people to sleep in rooms without air conditioning, especially when they're paying top dollar. The kitchen wasn't clean either, and there were no cloths for wiping the benches. I wouldn't stay here again.

The apartment itself and its owner were lovely. The building management was terrible. The receptionist and management man were no help at all, and seemed more interested in standing around chatting to each other. Ask for help and you get a dirty look and a “no”. I don't know what they do besides go on a power trip about where people can park and when visitors are allowed, then put angry notes in capital letters through your door. They didn't help me with a single thing in the months I was there. Lovely flat, awful building management.
