Reflections Coolangatta Beach

The bar food was fresh and filling, and guests staying in a room get 50% off from 6-10pm. The music was a little loud while we ate, but we were on the 7th floor and couldn’t hear it once the balcony door was shut. It didn’t disturb our sleep. Great views from our apartment and a great location.

The Pool Club closed early on Sunday night, though I’d been warned it might because it was quiet, and that’s understandable with homes nearby. Otherwise, it was a great stay. Book an Ocean View apartment if you can, the decor is lovely and the service was great. We grabbed a beer at the bar and relaxed by the pool. Definitely coming back, 10/10.

We paid over $1000 for two nights in the top apartment, and the place was falling apart. The beds were rock hard, the aircon didn’t cool the rooms, and there were no fans or airflow. The showers were grimy and rusty and didn’t seem to get cleaned regularly. There was even old toilet paper left in the bathroom by previous guests. I’d never recommend this resort. I’d fight to get our money back.

The balcony view was lovely, and the location was good. The rooms were a bit tired, but that was what we expected from a 3-star place. Our stay fell apart when another group partied until 6am in December. They climbed across balconies, broke into the pool bar to steal alcohol, and played loud music all night. We told management in the morning. They already knew, apologised, and offered a refund, which we hadn’t even asked for. Since then I’ve emailed, called, and left messages to follow up, but have heard nothing. Why offer a refund and then not follow through? With no night security or 24-hour reception, people can apparently party as loudly as they want. If you want a quiet night’s sleep, read the other reviews here and on Facebook first.
