The location is good, and the receptionist was helpful. They sent the key information for late check-in by message. But cleanliness was poor. Dust covered nearly every surface, including the sink, towel rails, heater, and bedside table. It seemed as if only the fridge had been wiped, maybe when the complimentary coffee was restocked. There was mould in the bathroom, which really concerned me. The hot water system made loud noises whenever it was used, and the floor creaked wherever we walked. Our room had a queen bed and a single, but felt quite small with both, and there was no microwave. At $100 a night, it’s not too bad, but basic amenities need improvement, and other places in the same price range offer better facilities. With better cleaning and basic maintenance, it could easily earn a higher rating.

The apartment had everything we needed for breakfast, and it was nice and quiet. We only stayed overnight to break up a long journey, and were upgraded from a room because the manager said he was having trouble with some air conditioning. The room and bed were comfortable, and the bathroom was clean, with a good shower. Getting into the shower was a tight squeeze around the screen corner, and the lounge furniture was a bit uncomfortable. It’s a great location, an easy walk into town, and we had a lovely Chinese meal. I’d stay again.

The renovated apartment looks great and was clean and tidy. The small cups just didn’t work for a coffee lover like me, so large coffee mugs would be nice next time. Aside from that, I had a good stay, the nightly price was reasonable, and I’ll definitely recommend the Swiss Motel in Cooma to friends.

The bed was comfy, and it’s a great budget room for the price. The lady called to make sure I’d get my key for a late check-in. A couple of chairs would be welcome. The reason for the one star is the shower. The water was lukewarm at best, and the pressure was so low that tilting the shower head to the side made it dribble. A cold shower at 5am is certainly no fun.

My quiet stay was comfortable and clean, thank you. The room has been renovated since I stayed last time and looks very nice. Everything was comfortable, and the bathroom is modern with plenty of room.
