We drove over from Moggs Creek for lunch yesterday, and the meal at Queenscliffe Hotel was delicious. We had lamb shoulder and grilled prawns, then bread and butter pudding. The dining room is spacious and modern, and the wait staff were attentive and courteous. After my husband had a stout and I had a glass of Pinot Grigio, we went for a walk around the lovely town. A beautiful hotel, fully recommend it.

I'm so glad we kept our lunch booking at Miettas after opening day. Some reviews had made me wonder whether to cancel, but from the moment we arrived we were impressed. The elegant table settings and lovely decor stood out, and the tables were spaced so you felt you had some privacy. Our server walked us through the dishes to make sure we understood the menu, and the wait staff knew both the food and wine list well. Every course was beautifully balanced, with the textures and flavours working together. Kangaroo was my favourite; my husband especially liked the lamb. Honestly, the whole experience was wonderful. Head chef Josh Smith came out to answer our questions about the food. We've enjoyed many fine dining restaurants over the years, and we'd recommend this one to anyone who likes beautiful food at a very reasonable price. Thanks to the whole team for making it memorable.

We were lucky to find a lunch table at the The Conservertory restaurant today. The market fish, flat head, came with roasted pumpkin and fennel and a lemon myrtle and caper butter sauce. It was nicely presented, the fish was grilled well, and the vegetables were soft and tasty. Great work, chef, highly recommended!

The Stay & Footy Game Day Package was such a good choice. We didn't have to worry about driving to the football, finding a park or getting home afterwards. Our box was near the front with fantastic views of the game, and I loved that it was open air. It poured, but we stayed dry and still got the game atmosphere. The food kept coming and was great, and our team won, so it was a brilliant night. We also loved our beautiful room and the stunning hotel itself. Breakfast was lovely, the service was great, and the hotel staff were amazing. We'll definitely be back.

The rooms made it easy to slow down and linger, especially with their understated luxury, impeccable finishes and that deep, sculptural, inviting bath. Lunch in the Conservatory was another highlight: natural light, views over the beautifully tended gardens, a serene feel and refined seasonal food. You can feel the history in the building, even after its thoughtful restoration. The renovation has brought it back to life with care in every detail and a fresh, elegant sensibility. The gardens are lush, calming and beautifully maintained, making it feel like a retreat from the outside world. A memorable Queenscliff destination with heritage charm and modern luxury.
