BIG4 Queenscliff Beacon Resort

The staff were extra friendly and nothing was too much trouble. They even posted my postcard for me. We loved the heated indoor pool and children's pool, and the two seater go karts were such fun. Our grandson, staying in another cabin, absolutely adored the big bouncy pillow. The park is fabulous, spotlessly clean and incredibly well maintained. Our lovely 2 bedroom cabin GO3 had a BBQ and was near the children's playground. It's a great location, with a walk to Point Londsdale beach and the foreshore.

Check-in was smooth, the staff gave really good service throughout, and the park has plenty of amenities and feels very family-friendly. We still enjoyed our stay and appreciated the facilities and atmosphere, so I'd give it 4 stars overall. The tricky part was our site near the games room/area. It was extremely tight for our trailer, and parking and maneuvering were very difficult even after we'd studied the map beforehand. I think the site would suit tents better than larger caravans or trailers. If you're booking with a caravan or camper trailer, I'd highly recommend stressing that you need a bigger or easier-access site.

Our studio was lovely and clean, with a comfy bed, but I wanted to get away to reset and relax, and that wasn't possible for me here. There were so many families in groups making noise. Even reaching the jumping pillow meant walking through large groups drinking, and the experience wasn't great. Our outside space was lovely, but crowded with families and children, so we couldn't enjoy it. I don't think this place suits a quiet getaway from my experience. A cabin might give me more privacy for reading or sitting outside if I came back. I'm not a party pooper, I just wanted some time away to relax, and the large groups didn't seem to consider anyone else. Kids were running wild, and some even took their clothes off to urinate in the garden beds, which isn't OK. As I was leaving, staff validated my experience and said I could have contacted them about it. I hadn't, because I didn't want to seem petty or ruin anyone else's holiday 😢.

Customer service here is 10/10. The 4 bed beach house was fantastic and perfect for two families. The park was clean and tidy, with lots for kids of all ages to do. Highly recommend.
