Waking up to fresh eggs, milk and juice in the fridge and homemade warm sourdough bread on the wine barrel by the verandah was such a treat. Pyrus Cottage is gorgeous, and the bed and linen made for a really comfortable night's sleep. It's in a beautiful, very quiet spot, within walking distance of some of Coonawarra’s best wineries. Highly recommend for a memorable stay.

Maria made our stay delightful, with thoughtful supplies like milk, OJ and freshly baked sourdough in the morning. The cottage is cosy, with a wood stove, and thanks for leaving chopped timber and kindling! The linen may be the most luxurious I've ever slept on. Several award-winning Coonawarra wineries are within walking distance.

We booked through Booking even though the photos didn't tell us much, and what a surprise the cottage turned out to be. It's small and really cosy, and the host was lovely. She made fresh homemade bread, and we had fresh eggs and marmelade for breakfast. We had a lovely stay and I'd really recommend it.

Our host was fantastic, bringing fresh bread and replenishing the firewood each day. Pyrus Cottage is a beautiful little place among the wineries, with everything you need, whether it's winter and you want the combustion fire or warmer weather when you can relax on the front porch. A perfect base for a visit to The Coonawarra and Penola.

Right in the heart of the Coonawarra, this cottage is full of character and charm. It's tastefully decorated, with nice little surprises like plunger coffee and fresh eggs. When you stay two nights, baked bread is delivered in the morning too. Absolutely wonderful place to stay.
