Sally and Steve were so accommodating, and we absolutely loved our time there. They’re totally awesome, unique people. The rainforest experience is wild and really authentic, very basic, just what you want! I can’t recommend a stay highly enough. It was a bit wet, so I hope to come back in drier weather and explore more of the area. Thanks so much, Sally and Steve.

I miss this place every day. Sus made me feel at home and part of the family from the very first moment, and I had an amazing stay. It felt like a dream in the jungle, so close to the forest and truly authentic. Thank you for a holiday I’ll never forget!

The staff were very helpful, and the bed was comfortable. The mosquito net covered it easily, so I slept well. Before sunrise, I walked the jungle trail and saw a cassowary and other wildlife. One of the highlights of my holiday.

We’ve just come back from an incredible night hike with Odin. His knowledge and infectious enthusiasm made it special, and we saw so many fascinating things, no spoilers! We left in awe. I’d book an all-day tour with him if I could. It’s a perfect way to bring the 180-million-year-old rainforest to life.

Cassowaries wandered through the property often while we were there in October, so this is a great place to stay if you want to see one in the wild. The rainforest setting was fantastic, the cafe food was reasonably priced with generous portions, and the owners were very friendly. Highly recommend.
