The location was excellent, and Cameron worked hard to make our stay comfortable. Kody the dog was adorable. The facilities were poor. The pool pump and BBQ were broken, though a gas burner was provided. The water stopped working several times but Cameron restored it quickly. There was no hot water, and the dishes in the cupboard were dirty, so we had to boil the kettle. The place is run down and needs a lot of work.

We had a great stay. The rooms were spacious and very clean, and the BBQ area was well equipped for making dinner. The location was perfect, and I had the best night’s sleep listening to the rainforest. There was little to no phone reception, but we didn’t need it with so much nature to tune into. I’ll recommend it to everyone.

My sister, father, and I spent three nights at the Daintree Rainforest Motel and enjoyed every minute. It has an authentic jungle feel, and Cameron, the manager, and his dog Kodie are amazing. The rooms are spacious and modern, though they could use a little more maintenance. Cameron had already done impressive work on the place in just a few months, on his own without staff. He clearly cares about it, and it felt like a home away from home. In the evenings we chatted with other guests and made friends for life. I’d go back!

Cameron was really kind and accommodating, and knew the area well. The central living space seemed well equipped, but the rooms had no TVs, and the pool was out of action because it lacked chemicals. Wi-Fi was limited, which is expected given the location. There was little to no hot water from the solar system, so expect cold showers. It’s a very budget place for a three-star stay in the rainforest. The rooms are large but dark and dank, smell damp and of stale cigarettes, and are very outdated. There was mould on the shower curtains, ceiling, grouting, and elsewhere. It’s nice enough, but needs work.

We spent seven nights here, and I thoroughly enjoyed it. I’d come back in a minute if I had the chance. Travis, the manager, is a champ and made us feel extremely welcome. The pool was a huge bonus. Some people might find the lack of air conditioning an issue, but it was fine for me. Travis was fantastic at organising our Daintree activities and seems to know the area’s restaurants really well. It’ll be hard to top this stay.
