Comfort Resort Kaloha

The relaxed feel of Koloha Holiday Resort worked so well for our family, and the staff made the whole stay even better. Everyone was welcoming and helpful, and they went out of their way to make sure we were comfortable. We enjoyed it enough to book again for next year already, and the whole family is looking forward to coming back. We’d happily recommend Koloha Holiday Resort.

Getting to town is easy on foot, with cafes, bars and a supermarket nearby, and there’s a secure coded gate to a beautiful stretch of beach. The resort has a cafe with nice coffee and simple treats, plus The Palms restaurant, where the meals and drinks were great quality and well priced. I stayed on my own, but could picture the place having a real summer buzz. The pool and spa are surrounded by palms, and the communal spaces and kids’ play area are lovely. My room was just the right size, with a queen and a single bed, spotless, good WiFi, clean utensils and a really comfortable bed and sheets. Staff were friendly, too. I’d like to try one of the beach-facing bungalows next time.

We stayed in room 11 with my family over New Year, and the palm trees gave the resort a tropical island feel. The room had a small kitchen and was well equipped, even with a hair dryer. The resort has different types of accommodation, from villas and private caravans to huts and classic hotel rooms. There’s also a pool, a spa you need to book, a kids’ playground and BBQ facilities. We tried The Palms restaurant and loved it. The location is great, by the beach and main square with restaurants and shops close by. Staff were warm and kind, and dealt with our issue quickly once we could reach them. The shower head wasn’t working properly, but staff aren’t there after 8:30pm, so we couldn’t shower properly until we reported it the next morning. Maintenance came straight over and fixed it right away. We’d definitely return and recommend the place.

I had a very positive stay and will definitely come back. The room was clean, staff were friendly, the beach was easy to reach and the area felt safe and family-friendly. I’d have given it five stars if the WiFi had worked properly and there’d been a phone to call reception with questions or in an emergency, instead of having to walk over each time.
