Cowra Motor Inn

We called to book at Cowra Motor Inn, and my husband found the receptionist very unprofessional. There was no parking close to the room, so we had to carry our luggage down an alley to room 14. A half-full cigarette butt container sat outside the door. Inside, the room was small and smelly, with a double bed pushed against one wall and a single against the other. There was no bedside table or lamp, and barely any room for luggage, clothes, or toiletries. The old wall air conditioner was very noisy. There were tea and coffee facilities and a toaster, but no plates or cutlery. The carpet looked poorly vacuumed and was heavily stained. Nothing about the place was inviting or appealing. We don’t understand how it hasn’t been closed down, as it’s well below any required standards, especially at the $180 price.

I felt welcome as soon as I came in to collect my room key. The rooms were absolutely clean and tidy, and the friendly staff gave excellent service, always making sure the room met my standards. I’ll stay at this motel again.

We were two older women and got an inconvenient upstairs room. There were no bedside tables, and it was obvious they’d been there before. The bedside lamp was broken and hanging over the pillow. The bathroom wasn’t clean, and the motel felt tired and dingy overall. This place is a dump. I wouldn’t recommend it to anyone.

My partner and I spent two nights here on a leisure trip and had a wonderful stay. It’s easy to get to and in a great spot for exploring the area. The staff really stood out: friendly, welcoming, and willing to go out of their way to make us comfortable. Their warm hospitality made us feel at home. The motor inn offers good value and convenience. We’d happily stay again on our next trip to Cowra. Highly recommended!
