We ate at the bistro for the first time today, and the food was far better than I expected. I've reviewed hundreds of venues and wasn't expecting anything special. Even with the venue in the middle of renovations, the service and food were great. We sat on the verandah with a lovely sea breeze, and the sounds and smell of the coast made it even nicer. Highly recommend it for a meal.

We stayed for two nights and would come back, even with the hiccups. The hotel is in a great spot on the main street, the accommodation felt safe, and it was budget friendly. There was live music in the beer garden when we arrived Sunday, and because my husband had pulled a leg muscle, our room and balcony gave us first class viewing. Lewis kindly offered to help him if needed. Renovations were happening in every area at once, which made things a bit uncomfortable. There was no hot water after a power outage. I told the bar staff several times on Sunday and Monday, but although they said the manager was on the phone and they'd pass on the message, they didn't. I finally spoke with Lewis, the night manager, around 4 pm Monday, and he called the plumber. He apologised for not knowing sooner and offered some money back. We said not to worry, as we understood. He gave us delicious Rosè, opened a private area for us to enjoy because my husband couldn't get around easily, and offered to help with our bags in the morning. Thanks, Lewis, great service. Deliveries and road repairs, along with the renovations, made mornings noisy. Some staff could use a little more training in cleaning and service. I'd wait until the work is finished before staying, but we'll return despite the obstacles.

We brought a large group of disabled people for lunch, and the staff were welcoming and very helpful. The service was excellent, and the food was just as good. Prices were very reasonable, with plenty of choices to suit participants' dietary needs and budgets. Great venue and staff.

That big T-bone we ordered to share was worth it. The seasoning was spot on, it was cooked just right, and the flavour was excellent. The chef knows how to cook a steak. I'll be back.

A really bad meal. My parmy was dry and bland, with hardly any toppings, and barely any fries. My partner had the southern chicken burger and currently has food poisoning. Do yourself a favour and don't eat here.
