Discovery Parks - Cradle Mountain

The lounge was really comfortable and the shower had good pressure, but the standard bush cabin was very old, tired, basic, and needed a proper clean. It stayed cold even with the heater on and didn’t hold heat at all, so I was glad we had electric blankets. One of the interior doors was coming apart and flapped around. The bush setting was lovely, and the park is very close to the Cradle mtn visitor centre. The water tasted awful even after boiling, so we used bottled water for cuppas.

A quiet park with different site sizes to suit everyone, and plenty of wildlife and nature around. It’s very close to the visitor centre and everything you’d want at this magnificent location. Great accommodation options for caravans, camping, and other stays. The facilities were very clean, and the heated bathrooms were a blessing.

Wildlife came right up near the chalet at night and in the morning, yet it stayed quiet all day. Ours was in a court-style layout with only two other chalets close by. We had a well-kept, spacious superior two-bedroom chalet for six: four children in bunk beds in one room, and a queen bed in the other. The open-plan living room was comfortable and the kitchen clean. The bathroom was clean too, with strong shower pressure and hot water that came quickly. There was a Smart TV in the living room for streaming, and free milk for the whole stay was a nice touch. The Cradle Mountain visitor centre is just up the road, with other activities nearby. Would highly recommend.

The bathrooms and showers were brilliant, clean, roomy, and had good water pressure. The camp kitchen was great, with everything we needed and even pizza ovens. Our unpowered site was very roomy and secluded, though we got one of the better ones. There was space for a small van, swag, and car, with room left over, plus a picnic bench. The powered sites looked more bare and open. I’d definitely return.
