Dinner with Nadine and Glen was a highlight. The staff were super friendly, and a 80cm fish on our first night made the fishing live up to the excitement. We’d already planned what to do before landing, after spotting the canoes, flat-bottom fishing boat and horizon pool as our helicopter came in. We’d flown 60 minutes from Cairns to reach this stunning Outback oasis. The 300 acre lake was a first glimpse of the luxury lodge; later we found out it’s stocked with 8,000 barramundi. Spent two nights there, and it was truly memorable.

The sunrises and sunsets are something you have to see to appreciate, and the place is so peaceful. I’ve stayed overnight at Crystalbrook Lodge a couple of times, and it’s an amazing spot for wildlife, with incredible food and great hospitality. This is a lovely way to experience the Outback. It should be on your to-do list.

A great Eco Lodge with what you need to get a break from everyday pressures.
