We’ve loved our Christmas stay at Holiday haven and are already planning to book again next year. Our three families booked three large sites, and there’s been plenty of room without the park feeling crowded. Even over Christmas it’s been quiet, and everyone’s been well behaved. The location is great, close to the beach and lake, with the rock pools an easy walk away. The pool, toilets, and other amenities have all been really clean whenever we’ve used them, and the showers have excellent pressure. Customer service has been great too. Thankyou holiday haven. From the callus/harthill-laws and Studmans

There’s heaps of room here, even for larger vans, and dogs are welcome. The amenities were clean and everything was very well maintained. The managers were friendly and helpful too. Can’t wait to come back.

We stand by our review as an accurate account of what happened, and hope future guests get clearer communication and a more considerate resolution if problems come up. We know peak periods can be difficult to manage, but professionalism shows in how issues are handled when things go wrong. We didn’t see that here. Our concerns about staff were raised calmly and respectfully. Being told to leave the office, hearing staff swear under their breath, and being threatened with removal despite no abusive behaviour was confronting and unnecessary. It caused a lot of distress for five families during what was meant to be a holiday. We also want to clarify why the experience felt upsetting. You say race or ethnicity wasn’t mentioned in the interactions, but our perception of different treatment came from observable actions: our original sites were reallocated to others while our group was refused relocation. We understand intent may be disputed, but the impact remains. Dismissing the concern outright instead of reflecting on it only reinforced our feelings. We booked and paid for specific ensuite sites, which were changed without telling us. We found out only when we arrived, with no chance to prepare or adjust our plans. One of the original paid sites was still vacant, but relocation was refused. Whether our group had stayed once or several times before doesn’t change what happened with this booking or the expectation that paid sites wouldn’t be changed without notice. Referring to terms and conditions doesn’t remove the need for basic communication, accountability, or customer care when mistakes happen. A simple explanation or acknowledgment would have helped de-escalate the situation. Since we can’t respond directly to the owner’s reply, we felt it was necessary to clarify these points for “accuracy” and say how disappointing it was that the reply focused mainly on disputing our experience rather than acknowledging it.

I’ve been coming to Currarong Caravan Park since I was a kid, so it’s a relief to see the previous management gone. Alex and Bec were unbelievably unprofessional. Twice, Alex came into our tent swearing aggressively in front of women and children. The second time I stood up for myself, he called the police and falsely accused me of assaulting him. It turned into a long, stressful process that went nowhere. I reported it to the shoalhaven city council park management, and they ignored my report completely. Shoalhaven City Council also failed in its duty of care and due diligence toward long-term residents and visitors. The way they dealt with the situation was disgraceful and showed broader mismanagement within the council. Hopefully the new management can help the park get back to what it used to be. I also hope the ongoing incompetence and failures within Shoalhaven City Council are finally exposed for everyone to see.

The beach and inlet are awesome for all ages, and the park was clean with friendly people around. It’s also very well run and in a great spot. We’ve already booked for next year.
