The night sky is part of the view here, and the house itself has everything you need. Ben was a lovely host. You’ll want a 4WD for the drive in, though that’s pretty much true across KI.

Rain and wind kept us off the terrace, but we still spotted a wallaby on the first day and lots of birds. It was exceptionally cold, so the woodstove came in very handy. The house is lovely and in a fantastic spot, and the owner walked us through everything and shared ideas for places to visit over the next few days.

Ben got in touch right away with clear instructions and useful advice. The beach and view were lovely, and the little beach house was a peaceful break from everyday life. It was well maintained and had everything we needed.

Get all your shopping done before you arrive, as they suggest. Then you can settle in to the beautiful spot, falling asleep and waking up to the waves. The beach looks farther away than it is, about a three-minute walk. Fishing from the beach is a problem because of the weeds. Swimming could be good with someone alongside you, as there are some rips.

The road in is bumpy, but it’s worth it, and you can still get to all the KI attractions. I loved coming back to the comfortable house, sitting on the deck and taking in the view. Make sure to look up at the stars too. Wow.
