The room itself was clean, with a clean bathroom, no dust on the ceiling fan, and soft towels. It had air-conditioning, a ceiling fan, a shower and toilet. But the first impression wasn’t good: I arrived at 12.15pm to check in and reception was shut, even though the website says it opens from 8.30am to 12.30pm. I couldn’t check in until 2pm, and the carpark didn’t look busy, so I didn’t understand why an early check-in wasn’t possible. The front entry wasn’t inviting, and the stairs to the upstairs rooms were noisy with workers going up and down. It’s an outdated motor inn that needs a good upgrade. The door to outside had no screen or security, which didn’t feel safe, especially on a main road.

I was exhausted when I got there and headed straight for the shower. A tiny safety warning was easy to miss, and I only noticed the sign in front of the mirror after the accident. As I stepped out carefully, soap slid under my foot and I came down hard. I was lucky not to split my head open, but I broke ribs, had to cancel two competitions, and lost my job while recovering. Management said there was a sign by the mirror, but it should have been placed in front of the towels. They showed zero care. The old mattress under the sheets was cheap and nasty, which fits with the price range and other comments here. If you're frail, elderly or unsteady, avoid this motel like the plague. It's overpriced.

A very acceptable stay, with clean rooms and a good location. The queen room had a ground-floor balcony, and the shower was great on a cold morning.

After a rough day with car trouble, my wife and I were so glad these lovely people found us a room. The room was clean and tidy, the meal they brought to us was superb, and the pool was spotless. Great location too. Such a gem of people, highly recommend.

The bed was firm, though a little bouncy, and the towels could have been thicker. The room was quite nice, but people in the next room were having a get-together outside on their veranda, so it got a little noisy.
