Hilton Darwin

It’s nice that the staff recognise us as regular guests at the Hilton hotel. Whenever I come down for the buffet breakfast, I’m greeted by lovely people. Doreen often welcomes everyone with a smile and asks how their morning is going. She really focuses on the guests and is always willing to help. Hassan deserves a mention too.

The facilities are clean and well looked after, and breakfast is up to the standard you’d expect from a hotel of this calibre. Hilton Darwin is an above-average place to stay, which fits the reputation Hilton Hotels have earned. Room service can be lacking during the wet season, though that’s understandable when occupancy is well down.

The servers were friendly and very helpful. If something’s wrong, be polite with the hosts and they’ll do great things for you. Breakfast was amazing and well worth having if you can get it. I might try a higher floor next time. It’s a nice place with lovely rooms, though I was unlucky to have the view blocked by the neighbours across the road. There wasn’t anything to be done about that. I also found the room too cold, but maybe I’m just used to a warmer climate.

The pool and other amenities were good, and the location was excellent. A receptionist was especially welcoming and took time to mark places to visit in Darwin on our map, including some nice cafes. We had a really nice stay in Darwin, and the Hilton was a good part of it.
