Novotel Darwin Airport

The room, pool and other facilities were nice, and we loved the buffet breakfast. The staff were especially helpful with our young kids and luggage. Reception arranged a buggy to take us to the room, which made things much easier. Assistant Manager Jake and Gede were particularly good, and the shuttle driver was professional and helpful, especially at the airport. A really comfortable stay.

The pool was a real highlight for our children, and we enjoyed dinner at the restaurant on both nights. Breakfast had lots of choices and was well stocked. Our bedroom suited us perfectly, with two lovely, comfortable beds. We had a very enjoyable stay.

The rooms are spacious and in fair condition, though the bathrooms could use some attention. Sound carries badly, too. We heard footsteps all night, and it got much worse after sunrise. The location is very close to the airport, with a free shuttle, though it’s an easy walk as well. I arrived around 2am without a booking, and the staff member was very accommodating, offering a good deal with late checkout and breakfast.

The pool was amazing, so relaxing and easily the best part of my quick one-night stay. Dinner and the buffet breakfast were both great, and the staff were really friendly and helpful. The room wasn’t very clean, though it was okay for a short stay and understandable given its age. The hotel is next to the airport. Free parking is across the road and unshaded, or you can pay $20 a night for better parking. It felt like good value and was a nice, relaxing break.
