The showers struggled when we were all using them at once, but the ensuites for each room helped make the place feel homely and relaxing. The price was very reasonable for 22 guests, and the heating kept us comfortable on a cold Daylesford night. We also had plenty of entertainment with the mini golf outside our planned activities. The owner arranged the other guests so we had a private section, and opened the lounge and kitchen for us to use all weekend. I was especially impressed by the bed and the friendliness of the gentleman owner, who really went above and beyond. Perfect for our hens weekend, and I’d highly recommend it for large groups.

The host was very nice and welcoming, and the beds were comfortable. But the apartment smelled strange when we came in, and one room had noticeable hair on the bed and floor, plus stains on the pillows. Luckily, we had two rooms to choose from. Loud creaking continued through the night, which was rough for me as a light sleeper. The mini golf was unexpectedly creepy, with old mannequins scattered around. Fine for a very short stay.

We had the sunrise spa suite, which was comfortable and clean. The host was kind and welcoming, parking was good, and it was only a short walk to the rooms with our luggage. We also loved the mini golf, especially playing after dark when it was lit up. We’d definitely stay again.

This was the only affordable option available at Christmas. The location was okay, and it wasn’t too bad if you’d run out of choices, but the property is quite old and not very well maintained. The mini golf course is aged and probably needs some revamping before anyone can play. They mentioned chocolate on arrival on the website, but we didn’t get any. Not a deal breaker, though.

We spent a bit of time at the mini golf, which was free for hotel guests, though it could use some tidying up. The two-bedroom room we booked was new and well kept. Cleanliness could be improved a little, but overall it was acceptable.
