We stayed in East 3 for our fifth wedding anniversary, and the room was quiet even though a party was happening next door. The bed was very comfortable, but the pillows were far too soft for me. I should have brought my firm latex contour pillow, as my husband slept well but I didn’t get a good night’s sleep. The room looked lovely, with modern fittings, and the bathroom felt spacious for a small room. I also liked having good quality body balm, shampoo, conditioner and body wash. The shower was fantastic, with strong pressure and a big rain shower head. I could have stayed under it all morning. A few little things were missing. We’d bought a six pack of Daylesford brewery beers for after dinner, but there was no bottle opener, so we had to pop the caps with a fork. Normal tea bags would have been nice too. The TV kept showing an error that we had to dismiss, and the reception cut in and out. It was an unusually rainy and windy night, so that might have been a one-off. I really enjoyed the stay and would come back.

East St Spa House was perfect for our culinary weekend in Daylesford with another couple. Brendan and Troy recommended The Surly Goat in Hepburn Springs, and it was amazing. There’s so much to enjoy at the house, from the complimentary wine on arrival and coffee machine to Foxtel, the fireplace, spa and decor. We’ll definitely be back.

We were quite disappointed, especially given how expensive the accommodation was. The website photos left us expecting more space, but East 3 turned out to be extremely small, despite being beautifully decorated. There was just one chair tucked into a corner, so otherwise we had to sit on the bed. Our tiny deck had one outdoor chair, but the people next door were very noisy on their deck, so sitting outside wasn’t peaceful either.

A lovely place to stay in Daylesford. Our dog had a good time exploring the backyard, and the accommodation is close to some great wineries and restaurants.

Such a warm, homely place for a quiet, peaceful getaway. It was quaint and comfortable, beautifully presented, and very neat and clean, with everything we needed. Thank you.
