We spent our time unwinding in a quiet corner of Daylesford, and the house made for a peaceful escape from everyday life. The owner’s hospitality and local recommendations made the stay even nicer, and it’s clear they take pride in sharing the place. There’s a deck for dining and enjoying the natural surroundings, plus a spa that was one of our favourite features. Inside, the living area is a lovely spot to read or watch a movie by the fireplace. The kitchen has quality appliances and plenty of counter space, and the house blends modern amenities with rustic charm. The furnishings and colours feel welcoming, with thoughtful details everywhere, from the artwork and styled bedrooms to the selection of local teas. From the moment we arrived, it felt warm and inviting. It’s a charming, cosy little place, well appointed and carefully considered. Whether you’re after a romantic getaway or some time away on your own, it’s a peaceful retreat. I can’t recommend it highly enough. We’ve got fond memories and would love to return. Thanks for having us!

The deck was a lovely spot for coffee in the early morning, with birdsong all around. Inside, there’s plenty of room for everyone, including two king-size bedrooms, two bathrooms, a full kitchen and a huge living space indoors and out. My daughter and I shared the house with another mother and child, so the teenagers could have their secret talks while the adults sat by the fire. And the indoor spa bath was a real treat. The place is tucked away, but has everything you need for enjoying Daylesford. There’s a plunger and a Nespresso machine for coffee, lots of cosy blankets and great heating. We came in early spring, so didn’t need cooling, though there are reverse-cycle air conditioners in every room. The amenities are top-notch, and there are plenty of comfy couches and chairs for settling in with a drink and a good book. We’ll be back for sure. If Kuca Stone is available for your dates, don’t hesitate!

The place is clean, well stocked and has a great view. It’s just outside town, up at the top of a hill, with total privacy on the deck. What more could you want?
