I spent three days in this beautiful holiday home and had a wonderful stay. It’s much more spacious than it looks in the pictures, well placed between daylesford and hepburn springs, and close to lots of lovely walking trails. Everything was spotlessly clean, and the kitchen had all the facilities I needed. There was a huge, deep spa bath, a lovely shower and toiletries, plus a hamper waiting on arrival, which was a really lovely touch. The bed was extremely comfortable, with crisp sheets and cosy bedding. I highly recommend it!

I don’t consider Gables Bend Spa Villa safe because, in my view, it doesn’t comply with Australian Building Codes. One important safety requirement is external ventilation for habitable spaces such as the bedroom and spa room. An internal door isn’t enough. Here, the only former external ventilation, the doors to the deck, has been sealed shut, leaving those rooms without an external air source. I raised this with the rental agent Dayget, but they never returned my call or published my review. Nothing!!
