The Albert Guest House and Mills Spa Suites

We’d stay again for the good value, easy check-in and checkout, and convenient spot near shops, restaurants, and bars. The place was clean and we had a lovely stay, though a few small maintenance issues came up: the fridge froze some of our food, the cupboard door wasn’t properly attached, and water leaked from under the basin onto the floor.

The room was so cramped, with a double bed in a 10 x 10 space and hardly any room to move. We even found a vibrator under the bedside table, which was disgusting and made me feel sick. There was no smoke detector in the room, and the fire exit led into what looked like an overgrown backyard. The toilet was a walk from the bedroom. The bathtub leaked onto the floor, so we couldn’t have a proper shower, and the premises didn’t seem well maintained. We mostly tried to stay out and enjoy Daylesford, then came back to sleep. I wouldn’t book this place, even as a last option.

The room was clean, but I wouldn’t stay again. It was tiny, with only a sheer curtain, so light poured in, and there was no soundproofing. We could hear people talking in rooms down the corridor as well as noise from upstairs. Glad we only stayed one night. Book this as a last resort.

The room was tiny, about 10 ft x 10ft by my measurement with shoes on, and the double bed left no space to open the door or put bags and clothes. There wasn’t even a sink or cupboard in the room. We found a vibrator beside the bed, which was disgusting, and had no choice but to push it under the table and get through our two nights. We hadn’t noticed the “external bathroom” when booking. It meant walking down a public hallway, and the bathtub leaked so badly that we couldn’t shower for 3days. There was no microwave or onsite parking. No staff could help, and the reception number only led to people saying they couldn’t do anything. The fire exit opened onto a backyard full of weeds. A horrible experience, and I wouldn’t want anyone I know to have their visit to beautiful Daylesford spoiled by staying here.
