The cottage is private and the estate is wonderful. Deloraine makes a decent overnight stop by the lovely Meander River. There were rabbits all over the extensive grounds, and the toilet was a long way from the bedroom. The bedhead squeaked a lot and could keep you awake at times, but even with those issues, it’s a good place to stay.

The owner welcomed us, showed us around and shared some history of the residence. The Gardener’s Cottage has a great mix of modern touches and historic charm. I’d highly recommend it if you need a place to stay in Deloraine.

A lovely little cottage, warm and cosy, on the grounds of a grand old manor. Our overnight stay was especially memorable because of the afternoon jazz on the local main street, followed by dinner at a nearby cafe or pub. We were also excited to find a platypus exploration trail with a guide, though that’s for when the river isn’t in flood.

The owner gave us a lovely welcome and was so nice throughout. The cottage is a relaxing place, with plenty of space and wonderfully comfortable chairs. There’s a design issue with the kitchen and bathroom, but I’d stay again anyway. You can also walk into town from the cottage.

Ron met us and made us feel very welcome. The Coach House was warm and cosy, with all the amenities our group of four needed, and the property is lovely. There were makings for a beautiful breakfast. We wished we’d had more time to explore the grounds, so we’ll have to come back for another night.
