The bistro food was absolutely delicious, and the staff were very friendly. I stayed one night after getting off the Spirit of Tasmania because it was nearby and very reasonably priced. The rooms were basic but very clean, and the bed was comfortable.

The Formby has that lovely old pub feel, and it had everything we needed for a short budget stopover. The room was very comfortable and clean, though simple. I'd definitely stay again if you're after an affordable place like that.

The rooms were clean, looked after and had enough amenities. Staff were very friendly, helpful and flexible, though they were juggling lots of things, so sometimes there was a bit of a wait to get someone's attention.

After a long trip on the Spirit of Tasmania, all we wanted was sleep and a comfortable bed. The bed was unfortunately very hard, and the hotel stayed noisy well past midnight, with people talking at all hours and doors slamming. I won't stay here again.

The bar and restaurant were nice, but the room felt like staying in the Richmond Gaol. It reeked of cigarettes, and whoever tried to cover the smell was unsuccessful. I was in a non-smoking room, which matters since I have quite bad asthma.
